“Deadliest Catch” deckhand Todd Meadows died from “drowning with probable hypothermia” and “submersion of body in cold water.”

A death certificate obtained by TMZ shows the 25-year-old fisherman was pronounced dead at 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 25 after falling from the Aleutian Lady crabbing vessel into the Bering Sea.

The Washingtonian’s final moments were reportedly caught on film while the the popular Discovery Channel show’s 22nd season was being recorded. Footage of Meadows’ death hasn’t aired.

His mother said in March that she doesn’t want the fall that preceded her son’s death to be televised. She doesn’t wish to see that footage either.

“We hope they only air good things of Todd on that boat,” Angela Meadows told TMZ.

Meadows’ fatal fall reportedly occurred shortly after he returned to the Aleutian Lady following time off to recover from a concussion. He was said to have been cleared by a physician before returning to work.

His mom told TMZ she was assured her son didn’t suffer at the time of his death.

Deadline reported that first responders found Meadows’ unresponsive body about 10 minutes after his fall.

The National Institutes of Health says irreversible harm from drowning can occur within minutes. Hypothermia is “potentially fatal if not promptly treated.”

Meadows’ body was incinerated at the Janssen’s Alaska Cremation Center in Anchorage.
